Model United Nations

Model United Nations is an extra-curricular activity, where students get the opportunity to simulate the United Nations. Our students have competed at the Regional High School MUN Conference in San Francisco and at the National High School MUN Conference in New York. They debate, compromise, and work on public speaking skills as delegates, on topics such as Poverty Eradication in India, Human Rights debates, and more. Our students are assigned a country, previously we’ve had Japan, Burundi, Vanuatu, etc; and then participate in the Conference by representing the country’s views on the topic. This club develops research, writing, debating, teamwork, leadership, and speaking skills, along with exposing students to real life issues and introducing them to lifelong friends.
