Pacific & Asian Affairs Council

PAAC is preparing the next generation of leaders for an increasingly interconnected world, and promoting citizen diplomacy one handshake at a time. We are building bridges, inspiring young leaders, and developing global citizens.

The Pacific and Asian Affairs Council (PAAC) is an independent, international education 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to promote a greater awareness and understanding of foreign affairs issues with special attention to Hawaii’s role in the Asia-Pacific region.

Since 1954, PAAC has provided global education to more than 82,450 high school
students, 107,300 college students, and 82,950 community members statewide; and have hosted approximately 930 international visitors.

Our school’s PAAC club meets every Thursday during ELO and after school on Thursday from 3:15 – 6:15, year round. Our club participates in a variety of events like MUN, CEPF, IPPF, GNHD, Free Rice Challenge Simulation, Media Challange, Worldquest, and more! Those who participate, get to earn a credit, amazing opportunities and beneficial knowledge.

Students from our school have received scholarships to travel with PAAC to China, Japan, and the Philippines. When over there, they learned about those governments, cultures, economics, and created lifelong friendships with other students.
