The Tiki Techs are proud to have started west Hawaii’s first ever biannual, week-long STEM Camp–an exciting way to meet young future scientists. Through interactive games and activities, elementary and middle school children discover coding, chemistry, space exploration, and so much more. The students are given the opportunity to meet leading scientists rich in knowledge in their respective fields on ‘Science Days.’ During our winter STEM Camp of 2014, we were grateful to welcome Shaun Roth as he shared his passion for architecture and STEM with the campers. Along with our Science Days, the kids explored math and science through hands-on experiments, from driving our team’s robots to making homemade lava lamps. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and our mentors look forward to teaching them something new each time STEM camp rolls around.
